Lewisham is a borough with a rich and diverse cultural life, including a high density of freelancers and sole practitioners alongside arts venues and NPOs. What Next? Lewisham functions as a platform for people to meet for discussion, networking and collaboration. Agendas touch upon topics of interest local to the borough and beyond, as well as linking into What Next? conversations at a national level.

The chapter has good connections with local festivals, organisations and the council and we aim to build our membership outside the immediate arts sector. We are open to exploring issues that impact upon the wider life of the community, and how culture can contribute and offer fresh perspectives on local conversations.
